BILGIN YACHT PROJECTS COMING IN 2019
As we move into the New Year, Bilgin Yachts is full of new ideas and hopes to bring yacht owners an ever better home-life at sea. While owners sail merrily across the seven seas, the shipyard works with world-renown designers to help loyal clients live their own dreams to the full.
Bilgin Yachts has been creating three new projects lately: Bilgin 156, 220 and 263. The Bilgin 156-II has the similar features with 47.5-metre Nerissa that had debut during 2017 Monaco Yacht Show. The yacht is named as Lilium since it reflects the simplicity and minimalism in its design consisting of light colors, satin-gold tones while the use of black marble creates a contrast. The newest project Bilgin 220 has the length of 67 metre. Being under construction in Yalova, the yacht will bear masculine lines in its interior and exterior designs which fit in its performance up to 17 knots. Last but not least, the 80-metre Bilgin 263 I and II are getting ready in the shipyard’s newest facility West Istanbul Marina. The first unit -also the largest Bilgin yacht up to date- will be launched in 2019.
BILGIN 220 – THE NEW ON SPEC 67M
Bilgin Yacht is pleased to announce that it has recently started the construction process of a brand-new on spec project: Bilgin 220. This 67m yacht’s exterior lines and naval architecture were developed by Unique Yacht Design.
“Bilgin 220 is a superyacht that has been designed to offer the owner a well-considered relationship between external and internal living areas in addition to a life spent between sea and land” states Ismail Şengün, CEO of Bilgin Yacht. Its sleek and masculin exterior lines will be similar with her sisterships. Bilgin Yacht applies its trademarks on this new model of the superyacht line through extensive use of windows on the hull, while new features are added such as a touch-and-go helipad as a continuation of brand’s philosophy. This philosophy of combining functional features and comfortable areas is also evident in the aerodynamic design, which is brought to life by the clean shapes and sleek lines. The hull design in particular takes the stylistic feature of large, vertical windows corresponding to the living areas and to the guest cabins.
THE 80M PROJECT LAUNCHED FOR ITS OUTFITTING
BILGIN 263 SISTERS COME TOGETHER FOR CUSTOMIZATION
Another milestone is; Bilgin Yachts’s largest yacht has a sister coming up. The second hull of Bilgin 263-II takes place next to her sister at West Istanbul Marina. Upon her delivery in 2020, this 80-meter yacht will be the shipyard’s second largest yacht ever.
Turkish custom superyacht builder Bilgin Yachts is celebrating that the two 80-meter Bilgin 263 -largest yachts to be built in Turkey up to date- are now brought together for the interior completion. The shipyard’s expertise is today extending far beyond 80-meter yachts.
THE 80M PROJECT LAUNCHED FOR ITS OUTFITTING
Bilgin Yachts proud to announce that the 80m Bilgin 263 project’s hull & superstructure were launched from their metal works facility in Yalova. The nascent vessel was then towed to Bilgin Yachts’ brand-new outfitting facilities at Istanbul West Marina and carefully placed in one of the three 90m+ slots of the massive megayacht hangar.
Due for delivery at the mid of 2019, the vessel features styling and naval architecture by the prolific office of Unique Yacht Design and a striking interior styling by H2 Design Studio.
She promises outstanding performances, both in terms of top speed and range efficiency thanks to a fully optimised and tank-tested hull. The interior boasts stunning arrangements in spacious volumes, with the indoor pool of the huge beach club spa area being a major feature.
BILGIN 156 M/Y NERISSA LAUNCHED !
We’re proud to announce M/Y “NERISSA”, the first of the 48m Bilgin 156 series, was launched on the 26th July after 23 months of construction.
The graceful lines and perfect proportions of the vessel from Unique Yacht Design’s talented office were immediately catching the eye and drawings compliments from all persons witnessing the event. This gives the promise that this 499 GRT superyacht will be a head turner and the subject of much interest in the coming months.
TIMELESS HAS BEEN SOLD !
We’re pleased to announce the sale of their Bilgin 160 Classic through the competent assistance of Leo Jordil of IYC.
“Timeless always had a special place in our hearts. Although we are sad to see her go, we are happy she has fallen in such good hands,” says shipyard Sales Manager, Yildirim Bilgen.
Launched by Bilgin Yachts in May 2012, this gorgeous 49-metre vessel was an instant classic. Inspired by the aesthetics of the glorious 1920’s, she is however much more than a mere rendition of a classic superyacht with her exceptional range, state of the art technology and equipment, which enables her to offer a supremely comfortable cruising experience.
DUSUR HAS BEEN EXTENDED IN ISTANBUL
BILGIN 164, ‘Dusur’, was 49.90 m M/Y which we had seen off to international waters in 2015, is back in Istanbul. She is getting ready for a fresher and more improved entrance to 2017 season. DUSUR has arrived at West Istanbul Marina for a regular maintenance in mid February. However her owner wanted an extension at her transom to increase the beach club area, which will make her 1.90 metre longer. Within the extension work, the transom platform will be turned into a 2.75 metre wide platform, in which a ‘transformer’ hydraulic-deploying platform will be integrated for a better swimming experience.
DUSUR will thus enter the 2017 season measuring 51,80 metres.
GIAOLA-LU, NOMINATED AS A FINALIST FOR THE WORLD SUPERYACHT AWARDS 2017.
BILGIN 155, Giaola-Lu, is nominated as a finalist for the World Superyacht Awards 2017. Entering its twelfth year, the awards recognise the finest superyachts launched throughout 2016. Delivered to her Mexican owner in summer 2016, 47 metre Giaola-Lu attracted quite a lot attention from sector professionals in Cannes and Monaco Yacht show, where she was displayed for the first time. She is now among the finalists at displacement motor yachts of below 500 GT – 43 metre and above category at World Superyacht Awards.
A WAVE OF NOSTALGIA, A WIND OF CHANGE
The wind of change meets nostalgia nowadays here at Bilgin Yachts. Built in 2010, the Bilgin 123, “Tee-Dje”, one of the last examples of our cold-moulded hulls, is back at West Istanbul Marina for a complete refit. Since the owners are very happy with her interior and exterior design, all they wanted was to keep the design as it is but refresh it at the same time. Started in October, Tee-Dje’s refit project mainly consists of woodwork maintenance and hardware upgrades. The 2010 model motor yacht was turned into a 2017 model vessel, according to the refit team of 40 Bilgin talents consist of veteran cold molding craftsmen as well as young and well-equipped engineers. The refitted Tee-Dje is scheduled for delivery in June but she is already near completion and ready to be handed over ahead of schedule in early May.

Elder states that the client was not particular about following a ‘traditional’ layout and the result is a very usable modern superyacht.
