M/Y KASIF MAKES ITS WAY TO THE 2024 CANNES AND MONACO YACHT SHOWS

Turkiye, September 2, 2024 – Bilgin Yachts proudly announces the arrival of its latest masterpiece, the M/Y Kaşif, to the highly anticipated Cannes and Monaco yacht shows. Departing from Turkiye today, Kaşif is set to make waves as it graces the South of France in early September, just in time for the Cannes Yachting Festival on display with Fraser Yachts.

Kaşif, an explorer yacht crafted with unparalleled precision and dedication, is the latest creation from the esteemed Turkish shipyard, Bilgin Yachts. Built with the adventurous spirit of exploration in mind, Kaşif stands out as a unique blend of innovation, luxury, and functionality. The vessel's name, meaning “explorer” in Turkish, is a testament to its design philosophy, encapsulating a journey not just across the seas, but also within oneself.

A marvel of engineering

Kaşif’s hull was meticulously designed by Unique Yacht Design. The hull optimizes the form used in the renowned 80 meter 263 series to deliver enhanced seafaring performance. The yacht's architecture, supported by two Caterpillar C18 engines, allows Kaşif to achieve remarkable fuel efficiency and stability even in the most challenging sea conditions. With a cruising speed of 10 knots, Kaşif boasts an impressive range of over 5,000 nautical miles, ensuring long, uninterrupted voyages. Through extensive Computational
Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analyses, Bilgin Yachts eliminated bow waves and minimized pitch and roll movements. This engineering feat, combined with the extension of the bulb 1.5 meters below the waterline, significantly improves the yacht's overall performance and guest comfort.

A symphony of design and collaboration

The interior of Kaşif is a true work of art, brought to life by the celebrated design team at Hot Lab. Collaborating closely with the yacht’s owners—one of whom is an architect—Hot Lab created a sophisticated, contemporary style that seamlessly blends geometry and materials with personal elements reflecting the owners' passions.

Each deck of Kaşif tells its own story through distinctive design elements. Pastel shades inspired by Armani Casa adorn the lower deck cabins, while the main saloon features a rich burgundy palette, and the upper deck saloon showcases a masculine tone for the owner’s living and dining areas. The yacht is furnished with pieces from top Italian brands, including Minotti, Poliform, and Giorgetti, and illuminated by exquisite lighting from Cantalupi and Fontane Arte.

M/Y Kaşif is more than just a luxurious yacht; it also serves as a functional asset for the owner's offshore fish farming business. Built to be rugged yet safe, Kaşif can comfortably navigate to the fishing farms in heavy weather. The yacht’s interior design was meticulously planned to merge the luxury of a home with the practicality of a floating office, ensuring comfort, privacy, and an ideal environment for family and business. During the Cannes Yachting Show from September 10–15, 2024, Kaşif will be located on Quai Pierre Longue close to the Capitainerie in Port Pierre Canto at the Fraser display, where she will be available for viewing by potential buyers and yacht enthusiasts alike. After its appearance in Cannes, the yacht will be at anchor, offering a stunning display of luxury and design on the water during the Monaco Yacht Show from September 25–28, 2024.
