Istanbul-based Bilgin Yachts crowned the success of 263 series with the sale of the third unit in collaboration with Bluewater Yachting. The 80-meter Project Silence will offer 20% larger volume as well as various technical improvements, additional features for greater comfort and autonomy at sea.
Built at Bilgin Yachts’ main facilities in Istanbul, the Project Silence (NB78) following Tatiana (NB75) will splash the water in 2023. The shipyard partners with Antalya-based Unique Yacht Design for naval architecture and exterior design, and H2 Yacht Design for the interior design and living areas.
The prominent feature of 263 series is their being eco-friendly with SCR systems connected to the main engines and generators onboard as well as the IMO TIER III compliance. Offering great comfort and luxury onboard, these yachts can cruise all around the world and anchor to very protected bays.
The sharp exterior lines and stylish interior areas of Bilgin 263 series offer a strong modern feeling. Emrecan Özgün, CEO and the Founder of Unique Yacht Design, describes the series as follows: "With the design and comfort elements, the Bilgin 263 is truly one-of-a-kind. We created a very attractive yacht with a sleek and sexy profile while avoiding a high dosage of design clichés. The increase in living areas normally results in bulky designs. The Bilgin 263 has a design attitude that will dominate the yachting sector around the world. This will clearly make her a trendsetter among steel-aluminum superyachts of today."
Project Silence will be able to speed up to 19 knots with two 2,560 kW engines, while the cruising @ 12 knots keeps her fuel consumption at 280 l/h as her sistership Tatiana. What makes the new superyacht special is her optimized hull and decks. This third unit of the series offers technical improvements such as a new ventilation system and an increased generator capacity as well as 20% larger volume both in interior and exterior areas. “She has a different layout than her predecessors,” says Özgün, “Owner deck is located above the main deck for more privacy and the wheel house is on the top deck for better bridge visibility. The magnificent change is on the staircase located in the center of the hull and the large, round lift connecting the decks from bottom to top.” Bilgin Yachts Operations Director Sencer Güneer underlines that the Project Silence has a longer upper deck and this offers extra covered area at the stern of the main deck while the swimming pool up there is a bit smaller compared to Tatiana’s.
The superyacht has well-planned accommodation for the guests with two VIP cabins on the main deck and three guest cabins on the lower deck. Jonny Horsfield of H2 Yacht Design expresses his feelings regarding the Project Silence as follows: “We are really pleased to be re-engaging with the craftsmen at Bilgin Yachts to design a beautiful new interior for their next 263, Project Silence. Building on our experience on our successfully launched Tatiana, we are developing a refreshed interior look and feel as well as uniquely redesigned layout. The interior will be light and modern, whilst remaining both luxurious and plush." Not to mention that large hull windows are also in harmony with the modern interior look of the yacht to create a fresh look.
The superyacht will have a large beach club which is also a trademark of Tatiana which made a marvelous debut in MYS 2021. “Interests on larger yachts above 70 meters (1300 GRT) have been extremely increased after Bilgin Yachts’ success during this event,” says Berkay Yılmaz, the Commercial Director of the shipyard. “We want to focus more on the 70 to 100 meter range in the future but still want to stay connected with 50 -55 meter yachts’ clients below 500 gross tons. Bilgin Yachts offer top quality super yachts in these ranges with passion and experience.” says Berkay Yılmaz, the Commercial Director of the shipyard.”
The second hull of 263 series -which is already sold- is planned to be launched in 2022. Bilgin Yachts also have a 74-meter yacht planned to be delivered in 2024, while two 50-meter sisterships will be ready for their technical launch in 2022.
